Description

The SV1490 Switchview throw lever is pretty much a “must-have” addition to any variable powered magnified optic.  We’ve heard customers say it many times before…” once you use one, you won’t be able to figure out how you ever shot without one before”!!!

Just like our entire line of standard and folding Switchview throw levers, we machine our SV1490 Switchview throw lever is out of 6061-T6 aluminum.  We also hard anodize all of our aluminum products to provide you many years of “hard use” no matter what you’re doing with your gear.  We’re also proud to say that 100% of the Switchview product line is manufactured in the United States of America.

If you haven’t seen the “DSFD” (Double Screw Fold Down) version of this Switchview, you can check it out here.

Our DSFD Switchview throw lever is our definition of simplification. The two-screw design increases adaptability for a more precise fit on various scope brands and models.

We’ve integrated our new “folding” design into these new DSFD levers for several reasons.  The main reason is it won’t hang up on stuff!  Whether you’re using your rifle for hunting, competition, or work, you’ll find that the new folding design offers many benefits over our fixed levers.

We usually mount the Switchview so the lever folds back towards the rear of the gun.  This way it will fold down when you’re stuffing it into a soft case, discarding it into a drop box in a competition or dragging it through the bushes and trees on a hunt. If you want it to be a little “stiffer” you can add a little tension to the screw that holds it in place.

If you want a little longer top or a little shorter top, we have one hole and three-hole replacements as well.  Check them our on our “lever top” page you can find here.  https://www.switchviewusa.com/product-category/lever-top/

Item in stock and shipped. Wonderful product and this vendor was very helpful. Item is out of stock all over the inter webs. Thank you Switchview…

This it an excellent product that should be standard issue for all high end scopes. Order correct product and follow install instructions carefully. Do not over torque the set screw. This throw ring looks delicate in the package but feels rugged when properly installed. Military tough. Competition approved. For those who have “been in the trenches” of competition or down range in an austere environment will see true value in this product.

Here is why I only gave this a 2. This is a quality product, you can tell in how well it’s made. The problem is the fitment. I have a Rem700 w Bush6500 and it’s mounted low on the rifle. This is such a beefy lever there’s no way to position it without the bolt hitting some part of it that sticks out (it does fit on the scope). If the design wasn’t universal and more scope model specific, it would be a real winner. I’m not going to put on higher rings which isn’t ideal on account of the throw lever so, I had to remove it.

Just as ordered. I’ll use blue loctite on the screw threads. Make sure you got your measurements right before you order. Also follow their instructions plus after tightening you’ll probably have to tweak the lock down screw a little as the throw lever settles in.
